Okay. So the next activity was camping. We got in the car in the morning and drove for 5 hours. That's right. FIVE HOURS. it was only supposed to be two. And three of the five hours was on a twisty road. try riding in the very back seat of a minivan on a twisty road for three hours. Not fun. But the view was beautiful. There was a river right next to the road and the water was so clear, i could see where all the fish were. i could see the shadows they made on the rocks below them. It was really cool. when we actually got to the campsite, We all wanted to go down to the river and wade around. My dad and my uncle stayed up at the campsite and set up tents. It was a mad scramble to find swimsuits and put them on. Only then did i realize that i had left my swimsuit at home!!! so i settled for my long underwear bottoms and a black t-shirt. We walked down the steep hill down to the river.i stepped in the river and shivered. It was freezing. We waded around and looked for rocks for a little while, and then my aunt decided to go for a swim. there was a deeper swimming hole a couple feet upstream. she jumped it and immediately got out again. She jumped in again and stayed in a little longer. it must have been cold there too. The dads came down and ran right in the water. I guess they didn't know it was cold. We didn't spent too much more time down at the river. It was getting dark and we still had to eat dinner. when dinner was ready, we ate it. it was delicious. Rice and chicken burritos. Plus like three tons of carrots. We went to bed sleepy and full. The next day we went on a hike... We hiked to Love Falls it wasn't supposed to be as long as it was, but it was worth it. The Falls were beautiful.. The clear  water plummeted off the rocks. My dad out our water bottle in a pool off to the side of the water fall but it was like a little eddy and was close to going over the falls!!  My dad took his jacket off and grabbed the water bottle before it could go over, in the process, accidentally unclasping his phone from his case. It fell into the water and Ivy grabbed the phone about 1.5 seconds after it submerged... At that point we were all pretty stressed.  My dad was trying to get his phone to work and I was trying to find a pool were we could cool our water bottle and it wouldn't fall over the falls. I decided to just hold it in the water. The falls were still beautiful. We walked to the car after a small swim and gladly went back to our campsite. My dad dried his phone and it worked!!! It was all because of Ivy's lightning speed and because of his new durable water resistant (not water proof) phone case. That Night we ate foil Dinners. We put potatoes and other yummy (sarcasm) vegetables in foil and cooked them over the fire. I stuck to potatoes and carrots. We ate the leftover rice too. We had forgotten to bring food for Nina (their little chihuahua) so she ate the leftover beans. Yep.... We made fairy houses (and Lukas made a frog house cause he likes frogs better than fairies) and took pictures of them. They were actually pretty cool. We went to bed tired and again-full. The next morning we packed up and left ASAP. We rode three hours on the twisty road then the rest on the highway... That was a relief. When we got home we all took naps. My mom had to leave early the next morning for work. We were staying till Friday. (it was Tuesday.) We said goodnight and went to sleep.  The next day we went to an aquarium near their house. (ill post pictures) that's really all we did that day. The next day we drove up to point rays, were we rented a cute little cottage until Friday. It was literally IN the water... on stilts. The only bad part was absolutely NO cell service. It was horrible.  We ate lasagna for dinner, Picked rooms and went to bed. The next morning, My cousins were jumping from bed to bed and Louise fell off. She cried for a long time. When it was feeling better, We went on a hike down to the beach. Louise's arm was still hurting and she was scared of the waves. We walked down to sculpture beach and then we split up. My dad went back over the hill to our car and the rest of us walked down to a parking lot about 2 miles down the beach. We met my dad in the parking lot and drove back to the cabin. My aunt was coming out that night for my Uncles Birthday. The restaurant we were going to go to was closed so we went to a fancier restaurant. after dinner we went back to the cabin we Had chocolate cake for My Uncles birthday. It was really chocolaty but very yummy. My aunt was going back early the next morning so she decided to take Louise with her to look at her arm. It was really swollen. W woke up later the next morning and cleaned out the house. When it was clean and everything was packed in the car, We drove home, ready to be back in STL. When we got back we walked up the street and got a really yummy 5 meat pizza. When we were walking back, We saw Louise and Abby walking to the pizza place. Louise had a splint on her arm. We were informed That it was broken. :( That night we said our good nights and goodbyes and went to bed, ready for the long flight the next morning. That concludes out trip to California!!
