yesterday we did so many things, so this will be a pretty long blog! so the first thing that we did was be woken up by Poppy (my dog). we had house-guests (Jevin and Creal) so Poppy forgot they were here so she started barking at them! good thing it was 9:00! so we all got up and ate pancakes. about halfway though the batter, we ran out of maple syrup so we had to rely on honey and nutella to spice our pancakes up a bit! it was actually really good! then they left to go sightseeing. (going to the arch and the botanical gardens) We had a birthday party to get ready for! We iced our chocolate cake with white icing then we decorated it with pink and green icing using my moms fancy icing tips. it looked really cute, i have to admit. so around 2:30 Hayley and my aunt and uncle and my friend Meg came over for Hayley's party. We talked and ate cake and opened presents, but then it was time for everyone to go. Our plan was to go out to my school's new property (my mom teaches 4th grade there) and go swimming in the creek. so we did! but some of the other people in the group wanted to go swimming swimming, not just wading in the creek. so we went to a bigger river to go swimming. we had brought poppy but dogs were prohibited at the swimming place so i stayed with my mom and poppy while the other people went swimming. when they came back we drove back home and my dad dropped me, my sister and my mom off at my house so he could take the other people home. when he got back, got in the car and drove out to maple wood to meet Jevin and Creal and the Schlafly bottle works restaurant. when we got there we didn't see Jevin and Creal so we called them and they were at the Schlafly taproom in downtown St. Louis! so we had to drive down to the taproom and by that time it was 8:30 and we were starving! so when we finally got there we ate and drank and satisfied out stomachs so we left. We decided to go to the city garden. Its basically a sculpture park but it only takes up two blocks. It has this huge section where all these fountians pop up and there are lights that change colors so it looks like all these multi-colored fountins popping up every where! so after we splashed around a bit, we had to go home and sleep. It was a long day and i was ready to go to sleep. Today were going to the City Museum and ill tell you about that later!
